Queen Camilla makes an unusual public appearance in late August.
Despite the fact that summer is drawing to a close and the royal family is preparing to step up its royal duties, Queen Camilla made an ill-advised public appearance in late August to watch a horse race.
On Saturday, August 24, the Queen visited the Ybor Festival at York Racecourse in York, England, to celebrate the opening of the Bustardthorpe development complex.
As patron of York Racecourse, the reason for this visit was not unusual, but the timing raised a few eyebrows, as it is reportedly not common for senior members of the royal family to make public appearances late in the summer.
As People reports, Queen Elizabeth “traditionally took that time off her calendar to take a summer break at Balmoral Castle in Scotland.”
According to the magazine, during her visit, Queen Camilla “officially opened the new Bustard Soap development by . cut the ribbon."
The magazine reported that ”the new Bastard Soap development was opened in the same way as the old one.
Queen Camilla's public outing was somewhat unusual, but it also means that the monarchy is back to a more demanding schedule now that summer is coming to an end.
In a similar move, Prince Charles made another ill-advised visit in late August, for very important and sober reasons. [...] [...] [...] [...] [...] [...] [...]
