Pink performs with daughter Willow on final night of DNC
On the historic final night of this year's Democratic National Convention (DNC), Pink took the stage inside Chicago's United Center with one very special guest.
Pink sang and harmonized with her mother on the main stage, accompanied by her 13-year-old daughter Willow, as she performed an acoustic version of her 2017 hit “What About Us”. Vice President Kamala Harris became the first Black and South Asian woman to receive a major party's presidential nomination.
Not only was the performance moving (it came after a particularly poignant moment that highlighted the prevalence of gun violence and featured survivors and victims' families), but it was Pink and her daughter's first DNC appearance.
The touching moment between mother and daughter set the Internet ablaze and became another tribute to the feminist moment and the power of women.
(On the final night of the DNC, women, and some men, wore white in honor of the women's suffrage movement, which culminated in women securing the right to vote.)
“Pink and her daughter are making me cry,” one viewer posted on X (formerly known as Twitter).
