Earlier this week, Jennifer Lopez filed for divorce from Ben Affleck after only two years of marriage.

According to reports, the actress and singer filed for divorce without an attorney, and perhaps to the surprise of many, the papers did not even include a prenuptial agreement.

According to court documents obtained by People, in the same filing, Lopez went a step further and petitioned the court to remove her soon-to-be ex-husband's last name from her legal name and revert to her maiden name, Jennifer Lynn Lopez. 5]

The magazine reports that the actress and entrepreneur cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the dissolution of their marriage, and further “indicated that she would not seek spousal support for herself or Affleck.”

She also stated that she would “not seek spousal support for herself or for Affleck.

“The exact nature and extent of the separate property assets and obligations are unknown to Petitioner at this time. Petitioner reserves the right to amend this petition should the same be confirmed."

Following the couple's long-rumored split, recent comments made by Lopez in one Rolling Stone interview have become a hot topic.
