Adele Warns Fans They Won't See Her for 'Incredibly Long' After Las Vegas Show
Singer Adele is warning fans that they won't be seeing much of her in the near future.
A video posted on TikTok on Saturday, August 31, showed Adele telling concertgoers at a concert in Munich that they would not see her for an “incredibly long time” after her Las Vegas residency ends.
“There are still 10 more shows, but after that you won't see me for an incredibly long time,” Adele told the crowd of upset fans.
“And I will hold you dear to my heart.”
Additional footage posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, showed Adele's comments at greater length and also showed her in tears and emotional reasons for not intending to stand before her fans for quite some time.
“I'm not the most comfortable performer, I know that, but I've really enjoyed performing for about three years, which is really f***ing **** the longest I've ever done and probably ever will do,” she said.
“All through the vacations,” she continued, “I fantasize about these shows and the shows I've done in the last three years.
“And she continued.
“It's been amazing. I've built a new life for myself over the last seven years. I want to live the new life I've built for myself.” We will miss you very much.
Saturday's concert in Munich marked the end of Adele's 10-concert residency in Munich. Next, Adele will perform the remainder of her residency in Las Vegas beginning in October and ending with a final performance on November 23.
Fans who responded on both X and TikTok shared both their sadness and their understanding of the singer's need for rest.
“This is what Adele does,” one fan wrote. “Disappear, and then come out with a banger."
”I'm not sure I'm the only one who feels this way.
“Take all the time you need and live the life you always dreamed of. We will be here when you are ready,” another posted.
“Why am I getting so emotional over this,” one fan wrote.
Earlier, in an interview with a German publication, Adele issued a similar warning to fans, saying she had no plans to produce or release new music.
“I have no plans for new music at all,” she said then. ''I want a big break after this, and I'd like to do something else creative for a little while.''
