Jennifer Lopez has shared several photos from her dizzying summer in her first social media post since filing for divorce from actor Ben Affleck.

On Saturday, August 31, singer and actress Jennifer Lopez posted four photos on X, formerly known as Twitter, highlighting the past few months and alluding to her recent split from her husband of two years.

“Oh, it was summer,” she captioned the four photos, which included a mirror selfie of Lopez showing off her revealing white bathing suit. The entrepreneur also shared a photo of herself enjoying an ice cream cone.

Lopez also shared a photo of a t-shirt with the phrase “She is blooming out of reach, out of mind, and at peace,” along with a photo of a sunflower.

On Instagram, Lopez shared more photos, including a selfie of herself in a mirror and the mom of two wearing a white baby doll dress, dark red Gucci Signoria slingback pumps, and a matching Gucci Jackinotte miniature bag.

“Everything is unfolding in divine order,” said one of the photos Lopez shared, again seemingly alluding to her recent breakup from Affleck.

On August 20, Lopez officially filed papers to end her marriage to Affleck.

Incidentally, or perhaps intentionally according to some reports, Lopez filed the papers in July, the anniversary of their 2022 wedding in Georgia, which was celebrated by family and friends after the two were married in Las Vegas earlier that year.

“Jennifer said she waited until their two-year anniversary because she was tired of Ben humiliating her and wanted to sting,” a source told the Daily Mail. 'But it didn't sting him. He is long broken up and deep down she knows it. He made her do this so she wouldn't look like a villain.”

“After four failed marriages, her friends feel that she should look inward and focus on herself, not what others want for her, and finally figure out who she is and what she wants for her future,” the source continued.

Other sources who spoke exclusively to Page Six said that “the great love Jennifer believes in” is “not in [Affleck's] DNA.”

“Ben has a darkness that others can't fix,” the source told the publication.

“Jen Garner [Affleck's ex-wife] couldn't fix it.

“She would have done anything to make this work,” the insider continued. She opened herself up to criticism, ridicule, and countless naysayers who told her that this was a bad idea, that it was hopeless, that there was a reason it didn't work the first time. But she refused to believe it.
