It has been 18 years since Paris Hilton released a pop album. Now that her second album, Infinite Icon, is out, the influencer and reality TV star has made it clear that she is grateful to one famous friend for inspiring her to get back into the music pool.

“I always loved music. Music has always been my great passion,” Hilton said in an exclusive interview for People magazine's latest cover story.

“But in the years following my first album, it was all I could do to build my empire and work on a million projects in different businesses.”

Hilton says he started thinking about making a comeback to pop music when his friend Miley Cyrus called Hilton to ask him to join her on stage.

“When Miley asked me to come and surprise everyone on New Year's Eve and sing ‘Stars Are Blind’ with her and Sia, it was so magical to be on stage and feel the pop star vibes,” she explained, adding that after the performance She said that Sia's words to her solidified her desire to make another pop album.
