Jennifer Lopez Offers $60 Million Compromise When Buying a Home with Ben Affleck

Jennifer Lopez has made at least one very big compromise in her marriage to Ben Affleck.

A source told People that Lopez did not like the 38,000-square-foot Beverly Hills mansion that she and Affleck purchased in May 2023 for a reported $60.8 million (in July, just before Lopez filed for divorce, they had the house on the $68 million listing) that they did not like very much.

“The $68 million mansion was Ben's idea and a great compromise for her,” a source told People of the 12-bedroom, 24-bathroom contemporary-style (read ultra-modern) home. She loves the romantic, Spanish, European vibe.”

As for why Lopez agreed to buy, sources say that the former couple's large family (three children with Affleck's ex-wife Jennifer Garner, Violet, 18, Serafina, 15, and Samuel, 12, and the 16-year-old twins Lopez shares with ex-husband Marc Anthony (including Max and Emme), suggested that they played a major role in the decision.

“She agreed to the property because of its spacious floor plan, which could accommodate both families, a gym, pickleball court, office space, and two private entrances,” the source said. [...] [...] [...] [...] [...] [...] [...] [...] [...] [...]
