Princess Diana's former dance teacher says she struggled to understand why she was “not enough” for her husband, Prince Charles
Princess Diana's former dance teacher has revealed some of the late Princess Diana's most intimate confessions in a new memoir.
In excerpts from the book, which was released exclusively to People, Anne Allan, a dancer with the London City Ballet, says Princess Diana confided in her many problems, including her unstable marriage to then-Prince Charles and her struggle with disordered eating.
The two reportedly met when Princess Diana was a 20-year-old newlywed. Over the years, she reportedly opened up to her dance instructor, especially as her marriage to the current King of England was coming to an end.
“When it comes to my husband, I just can't get along. I love my husband very much and I want him to be proud of me, but I don't think he feels the same way,” Alan said Princess Diana told him during a private dance lesson.
The instructor went on to say that he only “let” the princess “talk” and did not “give advice,” but simply listened.
“I don't understand why I'm not enough for him,” Diana said she thought aloud. [...] [...] [...] [...] [...] [...] [...] [...] [...] [...] [...] [...] [...] [...] [...] [...] [...] [...] [...] [...] [...] [...] [...] [...] [...]
