According to Charli XCX, the bright green “Brat Summer” is officially over.

On Monday, September 2, the singer posted a farewell to this year's summer trend on X, formerly known as Twitter.

“Goodbye, Brat Summer forever,” the performer posted, to everyone's surprise, drawing many responses from those not necessarily ready to let go of the “Brat.”

“I hope this doesn't mean the Brat era is over,” one fan posted.

“I refuse,” another fan commented, adding a photo of a bright “brat green” winter coat.

“No, we have decided to extend the Brat summer until November,” claimed another fan, referring to the upcoming 2024 presidential election and Charli XCX's declaration that Democratic presidential vice presidential candidate Kamala Harris “is a Brat.”

While fans are clearly not ready to say goodbye to “Brat Summer” (and some are even hoping to enter “Brat Fall”), Vice President Harris and her presidential campaign after Charli XCX said goodbye to this trend forever, appears to have acted accordingly.
