Prince Harry stays in Princess Diana's childhood home on recent trip to the U.K.

While Prince Harry's long-standing feud with his brother Prince William and father Prince Charles may make headlines when it comes to his family relationships, the Duke of Sussex still has many strong family ties. Case in point: as an example, Harry apparently stayed with relatives on Princess Diana's side of the family when he recently returned to the UK.

According to People, after attending the funeral of his uncle Sir Robert Fellowes, Harry stayed with his uncle Charles Spencer at Althorpe House, the historic Spencer family home where Princess Diana grew up.

Harry's appearance at the funeral was a surprise not only to the public, but also to the general public. Another attendee told People that most of the 300 people who attended the funeral (including Harry's estranged brother William) were “surprised that Harry came.”

“He was in remarkably good shape, and I could tell he was very happy to see everyone.

“And he was very happy that Harry had come.”

A source close to the Spencers previously told The Daily Beast that relatives on Princess Diana's side were not that surprised that both Harry and William attended the funeral, explaining that the two brothers “have a great deal of respect for Lady Jane Fellowes, the widow of Robert Fellowes.
