Princess Märta Louise of Norway, 52, wed her fiancé of two years, Durek Verret, 49.

Their gorgeous wedding took place on August 31 and was covered by Hello! magazine and HOLA! magazine covered the event exclusively. It took place at the Hotel Union in Geiranger, Norway, which overlooks the World Heritage-listed Norwegian fjords.

“The surroundings are gorgeous, one of the most beautiful places I know,” Merta Louise told the magazine before the wedding. 'Even if there are a few glitches, you still have an amazing view.'

The royal wedding between Merta Louise and Sherman Durek was attended by 350 guests, including royalty from around the world. Merta Louise's three daughters from her previous marriage, Maud, Leah, and Emma, were also in attendance. The princess's parents, King Harald V and Queen Sonia, were also present, along with the princess's brother, Crown Prince Haakon, and his wife, Crown Princess Mette-Marit.

Meanwhile, Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden, along with her husband Prince Daniel, Prince Carl Philip of Sweden and Princess Sophia, Duchess of Värmland, also attended the wedding.

For the special day, the bride wore a classic ivory wedding dress, a floor-length veil, and King Olaf's gift tiara.

“Our love overcame all odds and will last forever,” she told the publication.

Verrett is a self-described shaman and alternative therapist from Los Angeles whose celebrity clients include Gwyneth Paltrow and Nina Dobrev. Before the wedding, Princess Merta Louise defended Verrett from what she called “lies” that sought to discredit him.

Princess Märta Louise previously renounced her right to use the title of Her Royal Highness when she married her first husband, Ali Behn, a commoner who died by suicide in 2019 (according to Vanity Fair magazine) In 2007, Hello! reported that the princess had caused some controversy when she revealed that she was “clairvoyant” and credited her “experience with horses with helping her to contact angels.”
