Three royal rule breakers with the same September birthday.

Speaking of Royal Birthdays, September 15 is a day of celebration in both Europe and the United States. And while three famous royals were born on the same day, they also share the same preference for living their roles as they do.

Prince Harry, who celebrates his 40th birthday on Sunday, September 15, may be the most famous of the three in terms of breaking the royal rule book, but he has gone out of his way to share his special day with the queen and his future queen consort.

See how these three Virgo royals have shaken up palace life.

Born on September 15, 1984, to Princess Diana and King Charles III (then Prince Charles), Prince Harry has always been known for his brash personality and love of adventure.

Of course, everyone knows the story of his 2018 marriage to American actress Meghan Markle and his subsequent resignation as a royal executive after the couple experienced racism and tabloid abuse in the United Kingdom

and his 2020 Oprah Winfrey interview and subsequent memoir, Spare, ruffled feathers, but the Duke of Sussex told the BBC that he is moving forward with a “fresh perspective on life” thanks to his children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

Prince Harry, who now lives in Montecito, California, focuses on charities, including his own Archwell Foundation and organizations like the Halo Trust, which his mother supported during her lifetime.

“No matter how old I get, my mission is to keep showing up and keep doing good in the world,” he told the BBC in a statement ahead of his 40th birthday.

The Queen of Spain was also born on September 15, and her approach to the monarchy is anything but rigid.

Born Letizia Ortiz Rocasolano in 1972, the current queen, a broadcast journalist, married her first husband in 1998, but they divorced in 1999.

She then met the future King of Spain, Prince Felipe, with whom she continued a secret romance that shocked the Spanish public when their engagement was announced in 2003.

The former news anchor then made history by becoming the first Spanish queen born a commoner.

While you may have seen Queen Elizabeth in her traditional wool coat dress and elegant hat, Queen Letizia tends to lean toward a more modern working woman's approach, inspired by her journalistic days.

From relatable Zara high street to sophisticated Carolina Herrera numbers, Queen Letizia, a mother of two, is always in the news for her sophisticated style; at the 2024 Atlántida Mallorca Film Festival, she looked like Kate Moss appeared in a silver slip dress.

Daniel Westling's stories seem to have stepped out of a romance novel.

The personal trainer-turned-prince met his wife, Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden, while working together at a gym in Stockholm.

Ironically, Daniel was born on September 15, 1973, the same day his future father-in-law, King Carl XVI Gustaf, ascended the Swedish throne. His mother worked for the post office, and his engagement to the future Queen of Sweden in 2009 caused quite a stir in royal circles.

However, the commoner is now a beloved member of the Swedish royal family and the father of a son, Prince Oscar, and a daughter, Princess Esther.

As for charity work, according to the Swedish Court's website, Daniel is “involved in issues related to entrepreneurship and the health of children and young people,” and has successfully applied his former career as a personal trainer to his royal duties.

In addition to his other work, Prince Daniel founded “Prince Daniel's Race,” an annual event “aimed at inspiring and encouraging children and young people to exercise more.”
