Kate Middleton Ends Chemotherapy and “Looks Forward” to Returning to Work

Kate Middleton announced in an emotional Instagram video on September 9 that she had completed her cancer treatment, telling the world that it “renewed my hope and appreciation for life.”

In a deeply personal video, the British Crown Princess, who announced her cancer diagnosis in March, shared footage of herself enjoying time with her family.

“As the summer draws to a close, I can't tell you how relieved I am to finally finish chemotherapy,” she said, adding that the cancer news was “incredibly hard” for the family.

The princess took a walk in the woods with her husband, Prince William, and their three children, Princes George, Charlotte, and Louis, noting that “life as you know it can change in an instant.”

“More than anything, this time reminded William and me to reflect on and appreciate the simple and important things in life that many of us tend to take for granted,” she continued, showing sweet footage of her and her husband cuddling and playing with their children on the beach.

The Princess of Wales said that she “looks forward to returning to work and a few more public appearances in the coming months,” but stressed that “the road to healing and full recovery is long.”

As for returning to work, she will “continue to take it one day at a time.”

The royal family concluded their message by thanking the public for their love and support.

“Your kindness, empathy, and compassion have been truly humbling. To all of you who are on your own cancer journeys - I continue to be with you. Out of darkness can come light.
