Kate Middleton could return to royal duties sooner than we thought

Kate Middleton has made only two public appearances in 2024 during her cancer battle, but a royal source indicates that she may “gradually” return to work in November.

On Saturday, September 7, the Sunday Times reported that the princess “may” attend a Remembrance Sunday event in London on November 10.

The outlet added that plans are underway for a fourth “Together at Christmas” concert to be held at Westminster Abbey this holiday season, which the Princess of Wales began in 2021.

However, her attendance at either event has not yet been confirmed.

Although the princess has been meeting frequently with staff, sources told The Sunday Times that the palace has not forced her to work a full schedule.

“People know and understand that it is a long road to recovery,” one source said.

One source also said that King Charles, who has had a more full schedule since his own cancer diagnosis, is “fully supportive” of his daughter-in-law's plans to return to public life of her own volition.

The British Crown Princess last reported on her health in June, sharing a rare personal message on Instagram, writing that her treatment was “progressing well.”

However, she noted that “as anyone going through chemotherapy knows, there are good days and bad days.”

“On days when I'm feeling well enough, it's a joy to participate in school life, to spend personal time doing things that give me energy and positivity, or to start a little work at home,” the mother of three added.

After her message, the royal attended both Trooping the Colour and the Wimbledon men's final before taking a relaxing summer vacation at Balmoral Manor.

One can only hope for more “good days” ahead for the princess.
