Jennifer Lopez wants to tell her fans, “I'm real.” The pop star opened up about her divorce from Ben Affleck in a new issue of Interview magazine, released on October 9, and in a conversation with Nicky Glazer, Lopez said that despite her confident persona, the negativity surrounding her divorce on social media has caused her She said that it causes her pain.
“I know that everything that is written about me, everything that is said, everything that is speculated about me as a person, is not who I am. I learned that a long time ago,” she told the magazine.
The “Marry Me” star, 55, said she “doesn't take it as seriously as others” because she was in the industry years before platforms like Instagram and TikTok came along. But that doesn't mean that nasty comments don't bother Starr.
“This is my life's passion. I love singing. I love dancing. I love acting. I love to entertain. I love to create. Don't get me wrong, I'm not Teflon if it hurts,” Lopez admitted.
The triple-threat continued that she tends to focus on winning over the haters. “As an entertainer, sometimes you're on stage in an arena of 50,000 people, and everyone is jumping, singing, and laughing, and one or two people are resting and making bitchy faces,” she told Glaser, adding, ”and you zero in on those two.”
