A video clip of Prince Harry talking about Meghan Markle is going viral on TikTok for adorable reasons.

The TikTok includes footage of an interview Prince Harry conducted with ABC's Michael Strahan in January 2023. As for what makes Princess Meghan so important and different from other royal wives, Harry explained, “They come in with almost a blank slate, which gives the British press the opportunity to cast them in certain roles.”

He continued, “And when Meghan came into the fold, they tried to do that with her. But she ended up dating me in her mid-30s.” As a result, the Duchess of Sussex was placed in a very different position than many of her predecessors.

“She had a very public career and millions of people followed her, so they knew who she was. You can't say that based on the fact that they knew who she was.”

Not surprisingly, many royal fans applauded the clip, especially since it showed Prince Harry vigorously defending his wife.

Meghan and Harry were famously set up on a blind date in July 2016; according to E! News, they were set up by Violet von Westenholz, a childhood friend of Prince Harry's who worked at Ralph Lauren.

A source told the outlet, “Harry had a really hard time finding someone. Just finding a new date is hard enough. He can hardly use Tinder or dating apps like a normal person, but he found it almost impossible to meet someone he could actually have a heart to heart with."

Luckily, Westenholtz used his magic to introduce Harry to the former Suits star.

“Meghan had been a London socialite for some time and blended easily into high society. So when Harry told Violet he was having trouble finding someone good, she said she might have just the woman for him.” And the rest is history.
