Channing Tatum Announces New Film with Zoë Kravitz Hours Before Divorce Becomes Public

Channing Tatum admitted that he and Zoe Kravitz are working on a new film.

On October 29, Tatum reposted a screenshot of a Deadline article announcing the upcoming film “Alpha Gang” on his Instagram Story, along with a link to that news story.

The film, directed by David and Nathan Zellner (aka the Zellner brothers), stars Tatum and Kravitz as well as Cate Blanchett, Dave Bautista, Steven Yeun, Léa Seydoux, and Riley Keough. Billed as an alien invasion comedy, the film is currently in pre-production and will begin shooting this spring.

The timing is a bit awkward given that Tatum and Kravitz recently broke up after three years of dating and engagement; depending on what was left between the two, filming together could cause discomfort for obvious reasons.

Still, the two are used to being colleagues, and if what they said about their experience just a few weeks ago is anything to go by, they should be absolutely fine.

Tatum starred in and produced Kravitz's directorial debut, Blink Twice, which she also wrote and produced (and, according to iMDb, had a cameo as a “stylish stewardess”).

Prior to the film's release, the now ex-couple exchanged beautiful words about what it was like to work with the other.

“It's really like creating something out of nothing,” Tatum told People in August. And it's just like creating a marriage or something, like “all of us are pouring into this thing.”

Tatum and Kravitz dated from 2021 to 2024, and the “Magic Mike” actor proposed in the fall of 2023. The actors have yet to publicly address their split.
