If you had asked me two weeks ago what the biggest shoe trend of the fall season would be, I probably would have said suede boots, black penny loafers, or the ever-trendy ballet flats. But celebrities can't stop wearing these.

While most of us have turned to the cold-weather-friendly style of exposed-toe shoes, Hollywood's most stylish are hanging on to their favorites this summer. Jennifer Lopez is a leading proponent of the trend and has a clear shoe obsession for the pumpkin spice season.

She wore her favorite Femme LA Naked shoes last weekend, styled with destroyed jeans and a caramel-colored Birkin. The next day, she reached for the same shoes again, but the look couldn't be more different.

Whereas Sunday's attire was light and breezy, Monday's was all business. Lopez was photographed heading to the recording studio on October 28 in full boss mode. She wore office-appropriate dark taupe wide pants, a black Birkin, and her favorite Intimissimi boatneck top (the black one is sold out, but there are plenty of other colors to choose from.)

The see-through shoe style is the least appropriate for the season of chunky knits and wool pants. Somehow, however, Lopez manages to pull off that seasonal look by coordinating a black pedicure, a semi-sheer top, and a black birkin bag.

Her shoe choice is unexpected, but Lopez is now close to unorthodox. Kim Kardashian has always been a noted fan (her family practically started the trend in 2017) and always wears them regardless of the season. Blake Lively is also styling her summer shoes for fall. She even wore a pair yesterday, debuting a glittering pair covered in crystals for the 2024 CFDA Awards.

Which means we've got ourselves a new pair of It shoes.
