Simple Favors 2 Director and Co-Starring Actress Express Support for Blake Lively

Director Paul Feig and Italian actor/musician Michele Morrone have expressed their support for “Simple Plan 2” co-star Blake Lively. Blake Lively has received much support from her co-stars, family, and friends for her accusations of sexual harassment and smear campaign against “It Ends With Us” director and co-star Justin Baldoni.

The “Bridesmaids” director, who also worked with Lively on the 2018 film “Simple Favors” and its upcoming sequel, is a longtime friend of novelist Colleen Hoover, her sister Robin Lively, co-stars Brandon Sklenner and Jenny Slate, longtime friend and “Traveling Sisters in Pants” co-stars America Ferrera, Amber Tamblyn and Alexis Bledel joined a long list of people who have defended her, posting a statement to X on Sunday.

“I have now made two films with Blake and all I can say is that she is one of the most professional, creative, collaborative, talented, and kind people I have ever worked with,” Feig said. 'She does not deserve this kind of smear campaign. I think it's terrible that she has to go through this.”

In an Instagram story posted Monday, Morrone said, “Normally it's not my job to make videos like this, but I think it's time to stand up for someone I truly love, and I'm so proud of her.

“I personally met Blake during ‘Simple Favors 2’ and we shot this amazing movie together, but I felt something was wrong. And I felt the pain. We had a chance to talk about me and her. Blake was in pain. And it really sickens me to see cruel and bad comments about her without knowing what was going on. So before I make any comments, I want to link here an article from the New York Times to help you understand what happened. That is what I am asking you to do. All right?

He said, “Blake, I love you so much. Keep it up and I'll see you soon.”

Needless to say (but I'll say it anyway), no one deserves to be treated unfairly or sexually harassed on the job. We applaud those who stand up against such behavior and the slurs against women who speak out against it.
