Travis Kells Watches Taylor Swift's Favorite Movie “Love Actually” and Shares His Thoughts
Love abounds: ...... At least in the Kells-Swift household. Travis Kells finally got to see the 2003 holiday classic, Love Actually.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end initially thought it would be “torture” to watch “Love Actually,” even though he believes the film should not be classified as a Christmas movie.
“I didn't feel Christmas at all during the movie,” Kelce said on his podcast New Heights in an episode released Tuesday. Aside from the lack of Christmas ambiance, Kells enjoyed the various romantic stories, adding that Andrew Lincoln's cue cards are “the most romantic way to tell someone you're in love.”
Of course, “Love Actually” is one of Taylor Swift's favorite movies; in 2014, Swift told Teen Vogue that she sees Hugh Grant's now iconic line, “Love is actually all around us,” as her “motto.” She also cites watching the classic film as a Christmas tradition.
Still, not everyone is a fan of the decades-old film. Jason Kells claimed that “‘Love Actually’ may be the worst Christmas movie I've ever seen.
But there are a couple of things that I think are the worst about Love Actually, including the fact that Jamie and Aurelia, played by Colin Firth and Lucia Moniz, fall in love without ever speaking to each other thanks to the language barrier.
And as for which holiday movie the Kelsey brothers would choose, Travis told “New Heights” last year that “A Christmas Story” is one of his favorites because of the local connection: the 1983 film was shot in Cleveland, and the “Christmas Story” was shot in the same city as “A Christmas Story. not far from the childhood homes of football stars.
