Princess Charlotte, her Christmas hairdo is so adorable.
Princess Kate's iconic bouncy blowouts and intricate updos have been a royal hair goal over the past decade, and 9-year-old Princess Charlotte has made holiday hairstyles a serious goal, and the secret is that anyone, regardless of age, can recreate at home The sweetest styles include.
Although it seems like the Royal Family always participates in the Christmas morning walk at Sandringham Manor, Princess Charlotte has only participated three times.
Charlotte, who spends her vacations at Anmer Hall, the family's country home, made her Sandringham debut in 2019 at just 4 years old. The traditional Christmas walk was canceled in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic, so despite the princess turning 10 next year, she will have only two other public Christmases with the royal family. [It's a green or red coat, tights, mary jane, and a cute braided look. When Princess Charlotte makes her Christmas appearance, she wears her hair half up in the back and ties the two braids together with a ribbon. It's a classic style that many little girls have worn for years (and have patiently endured their mothers' attempts to make braids work). In recent years, however, ribbons have become all the rage for adults, and it's a style we adults can recreate, too.
Charlotte has been rocking variations of this princess-perfect braid since her early public appearances with her favorite floral dresses and coats from luxe kidswear brands like Trotters. But the nine-year-old has been showing off her slightly more grown-up style over the past year, wearing a blue polka-dot dress to the men's final at Wimbledon, where she watched with her mother and aunt, Pippa Middleton.
“It felt like a bit of a milestone, like she was moving from being a sweet little girl in a smocked floral dress to a slightly more mature tween vibe,” Bethan Holt, style director for The Telegraph, told People at the time.
Charlotte also showed off her braided hairstyle when she supported her grandfather, King Charles, at his coronation in 2023.
This holiday season, Princess Charlotte ditched the braids, but kept her signature half-up style and ribbon when she attended her mother's annual Together at Christmas Carol Concert. The pre-teen re-wore her favorite maroon Trotters coat and styled her long hair into a curly half updo. The pony was adorned with a black ribbon that coordinated with her mom's bright red coat.
