Kim Kardashian Recreates Iconic “Breaks the Internet” Photo at Skims Christmas Party

Every once in a while, we are reminded (figuratively) of how fast time flies. This weekend, Kim Kardashian reminded us that it has been a full decade since “Break the Internet” graced the cover of Paper magazine.

On Saturday, the reality TV star shared a carousel of images from the official Skims Christmas party held in Los Angeles on Thursday night.

The Instagram post, which Kardashian captioned with a simple 🎁 emoji, included a total of eight photos from the festive night out. All of the photos are the usual sexy/chic one would expect from Kardashian (see preamble for dress description), but the sixth photo is the one that is getting the most attention.

In this photo, the Skims founder is bent over, holding a cocktail glass and balancing on top of her most famous asset, posing for one of the most iconic shots from her 2014 Internet-fueled photo shoot for Paper magazine playfully recreating it (tragically absent is the flowing arc of champagne being poured into the glass).

Kardashian shared the original Paper magazine cover in November 2014 while promoting the issue.

The original image was shot in Paris by legendary photographer Jean-Paul Goude, which Kardashian revealed (/ plainly boasted) on Instagram at the time.

Other photos of the carousel at Kardashian's Skims Christmas party show the star posing (and laughing/looking like she's having a frankly great time) in front of a booth decorated with tinsel garland, twinkling lights, Christmas ornaments and other holiday decorations The star (who appears to be having a great time) and featured one of her standing between sister Khloe Kardashian and mother Kris Jenner, who showed up to the party wearing the same outfit in a different color.

As for plans for the rest of the holiday season, the mother of four recently revealed that the Kardashian-Jenners will forgo their tradition of throwing a “legendary Christmas Eve party” and instead plan to have a “really low-key” celebration this year.

“Just because we have a lot of construction going on, we're doing really intimate family stuff that I'm really excited about,” she explained in an on-camera interview with Vogue shared on the magazine's Instagram. 'It's what we do.'
