Prince William may have an awkward Christmas.
Prince William recently revealed his surprisingly low-key Christmas plans, which include walking his dog and relaxing at home. As it turns out, however, the prince may be in for a slightly awkward Christmas. Unfortunately for the prince, Queen Camilla's children, Tom Parker Bowles and Laura Lopez, will be attending Christmas at Sandringham.
Amid reports that Prince William would snub Christmas if his brother-in-law, Tom, attended, one report provided evidence of a potential rift between Prince William and his sister-in-law as well, as The Sun shared Katie Nicole's 2010 book ” In an excerpt from “William and Harry,” it is revealed that “William and Laura had a terrible fight over whose fault it was that the family had fallen apart. [William] blamed Camilla for all the hurt she had inflicted on her mother [Princess Diana], which infuriated Laura. Laura was having none of it. She took a hard line and hit back at William, saying, 'Your father ruined my life'”
.
As for why Prince William is not Tom's biggest fan, a report in The Daily Beast noted that “the Welsh couple have often avoided attending Christmas lunches at their ‘stately home’ in Sandringham, preferring the informality of a relaxed lunch at Anmer Hall.”
The report continued. William, despite being reconciled to his father's choices, is not very fond of Camilla and is nervous about Tom's somewhat flamboyant lifestyle.”
In an interview to promote his new book, Cooking and the Crown: Royal Recipes from Queen Victoria to Charles III, Tom's famous brother-in-law opened up about them. He said, “I learned a long time ago not to stick my fat fingers into William and Harry's world. But what they went through was awful.
