Mariah Carey Says "It's Time" for Christmas by Breaking Pumpkins

Spooky szn is over, Mariah szn is in full swing.

Mariah Carey posted an iconic video on Twitter (opens in new tab) of herself in a glittery red gown and matching heels, swinging a candy cane striped baseball bat. She walks into a room filled with Halloween (opens in new tab) displays, including three pumpkins with the words "it's," "not," and "time." Carrie swings her bat as the opening notes of "All I Want to Christmas" begin to play and gleefully smashes the "not" pumpkin.

Carrie then sings, "It's time," and screams as the vocals begin and she finds herself in a room decorated with Christmasy (open in new tab) items. The video then fades to black, and the song "It's time!" is followed by "It's time!" and "Let's mash some pumpkins and treat them as pies... We still have to get through Thanksgiving (opens in new tab)!!!" It is written.

The singer wrote, "Ready' Let's go!!!#MariahSZN."

One Twitter user who posted on Halloween noted that Carey's iconic Christmas track has already begun an upward trend in Google searches (opens in new tab).

And Carey herself has been gearing up for a few days: on October 28, a fan re-shared (open in new tab) a notice on a jukebox in a Dallas bar that effectively banned "All I Want for Christmas" until December 1, and wrote, "This Is this the War on Christmas I've heard about?" I wrote.

Carey quoted this (opens in new tab) and tweeted it, along with a still image of herself in full battle gear (from the video game "Game of War" (opens in new tab)), proving she does not want to go down without a fight. I don't expect anything.
