Kim Kardashian wanted to impress with her Met Gala (opens in new tab) costume, and it certainly worked. Not only is it still being talked about weeks later, but people are eager to recreate the outfit for Halloween costumes (opens in new tab).

We knew that Kardashian's all-black Balenciaga costume looked inconvenient at best and actually kind of dangerous at worst (not to mention prohibitively expensive (opens in new tab)), but the star mother, Kris Jenner, gave us further insight into just how unrealistic it really was.

"The night of the Met Ball, Kim was blind and couldn't breathe, so her boyfriend Corey [Gamble] was walking around and we were all together and he was leading her where we were supposed to go and helping her ponytail," Jenner told Ellen DeGeneres (opens in new tab)."

"He was suddenly like someone was pulling her and a hair stylist at the same time."

An incredulous DeGeneres said, "Wow, she couldn't see?"

he asked.

"I didn't see her," Jenner stressed. During the Met Ball, she asked me to dance to this song for Vogue magazine. It was very funny."

Incidentally, I am obsessed with the Kardashian family making fun of each other. Kim K. recently teased her sister Kourtney's relationship with Travis Barker (opens in new tab) on "Saturday Night Live" (opens in new tab), was regularly abused by her own daughter North (opens in new tab), and Kylie Jenner hilariously recreated (opens in new tab) an iconic scene from "KUWTK" (opens in new tab) on TikTok.
