Prince William's remarks at one event suggest that he and Prince Harry are still talking.

If you follow royal family gossip, you've probably heard that tensions between Prince William and Prince Harry are at an all-time high. But that may not be all, according to sources who spoke to the Daily Mail about a speech Prince William gave earlier this week.

At a reception celebrating the unveiling of a statue honoring Princess Diana, Prince William said that he and Harry were "both pleased" with the work. Earlier this year, the brothers appeared together for the actual unveiling of the statue in the Sunken Garden at Kensington Palace, one of Princess Diana's favorite spots, although the event had been postponed due to COVID-19 concerns. A body language expert who spoke to "Marie Claire" at the time analyzed the photos and determined that the brothers were likely feeling a little uncomfortable together, despite smiling for the photo.

There was some speculation that Harry might attend the rescheduled reception, but that was quickly quashed and unconfirmed rumors circulated that the animosity between the brothers had once again heated up. And as expected, Harry and Meghan did not attend the statue reception with Prince William. However, judging from William's remarks, things may be looking up.

According to a source for the Mail, speaking on condition of anonymity, "William gave a brilliant speech of thanks from him and Harry, and how pleased they are with the statue." The source added, "He mentioned Harry by name."

It may seem like a small thing, but according to the source, "The brothers have barely spoken, but it is clear that the statue of Princess Di has done good."

It is unclear when the brothers will have the chance to be together again in person, but the event seems to have melted the ice between them.
