Read MoreMore than 30 years after the 1993 film "Mrs. Doubtfire," the child stars of the beloved movie have reunited.
On Wednesday, May 1, Canadian writer and former child star Lisa Jakub released two photos documenting her miniature reunion with 1993 co-stars Mara Wilson and Matthew Lawrence.
The three starred alongside the late Robin Williams in the now classic film, in which Williams played the children of Williams, who transforms into an elderly English lady in order to be near her children during a divorce battle with his wife, played by the incomparable Sally Field.
"The sisters had so much fun being with their brothers," Jakub captioned the post, which included a photo of the former co-stars posing alongside another photo and another showing Lawrence's two brothers, Andrew and Joey.
"@marawilson and @matthewlawrence still feel like brothers to me 30 years after filming 'Mrs. Doubtfire'. And @andrewlawrence and @joeylawrence are truly part of the extended family. I had so much fun participating in the Official Brothers Love Pod and can't wait to share it with everyone.
Yakub also shared a photo of his three former co-stars reunited in the thread with a similar caption.
"Had a bit of a reunion...30 years later, the 'Mrs. Doubtfire' family still feels like family."
Actress Mara Wilson also shared the same two photos on her personal Instagram account, along with a photo of the Golden Gate Bridge.
"So funny that I got to reunite with my Doubtfire siblings the same week I went to San Francisco!"
[21 Wilson captioned the post.
(For those who don't know, the movie Mrs. Doubtfire is set in San Francisco. And it's always so much fun to be on @officialbrotherlylovepod," she continued.
In November 2021, Jakub posted a sweet message on X, formerly known as Twitter, revealing how the 1993 film affected her life and how it has since changed.
"Twenty-eight years ago today, 'Mrs. Doubtfire' was released. Things changed for me that day. It was both wonderful and difficult. But I will always be grateful for this film that meant so much to so many people," she posted, adding a black-and-white photo of herself on set with Williams, dressed as her beloved nanny character.
"This movie has brought me this far." It's pretty damn amazing."
After Williams tragically passed away on August 11, 2014, Wilson shared a touching tribute to the star via a blog post, confiding what it was like to work with Williams on the set of Mrs. Doubtfire.
"Robin would do anything to make me and the other kids laugh," she wrote at the time, as reported by ABC News.
"He seemed to instinctively know what we thought was funny and never had to say anything inappropriate for a child. After all, he was his own father."
Wilson further wrote that her "strongest impression" of Williams came when she met him again at a table reading for the 1998 film What Dreams May Come.
"Robin crossed from across the room to me, came down to my level, and whispered, 'I've never seen you before. 'He looked so vulnerable. He was another person."
