Ryan Reynolds casually hints at his shaken feelings about Blake Lively's “It Ends With Us” lawsuit on Instagram.
Despite not officially commenting on Blake Lively's “IT ENDS WITH US” lawsuit, Ryan Reynolds has found a casual way to share a hint of how he feels about the drama. He may have.
On Monday, December 23, Reynolds posted on social media for the first time since news of Lively's sexual harassment lawsuit against “It Ends With Us” co-star and director Justin Baldoni broke.
While the post itself had nothing to do with his wife's legal issues, some who read it felt that it offered insight into the actor's mood during the legal action, thanks to a subtle line in which the actor mentions “a time when I couldn't bring myself to put on the [Deadpool] suit”
“I'll be back soon.
“It's almost Christmas Eve. Last day to donate to [the Sick Kids Foundation],” Reynolds wrote in the post. The post also included a promotional video the actor posted with his 8-year-old daughter Inez on December 12, encouraging donations to the organization, with the two dressed as Deadpool and Kidpool (according to People).
“Thank you Brian Rowland for directing this great little film at a time when I couldn't bring myself to suit up,” he continued in an Instagram Story post. 'Thank you for your time, kindness, and talent. Thanks to my daughter for being such a good person despite her dad asking her to swear (for a good cause).”
Reynolds, who shares four children with Lively (in addition to the actor's “Kidpool” co-star Ines, the couple shares two other daughters, James (10) and Betty (5), and one son, Olin (1)), may have kept public references to the lawsuit under wraps, However, sources say that he has been directly and forcefully supporting his wife behind the scenes as she has dealt with these issues, from what she describes in legal documents as a “hostile work environment” with Baldoni to the current stress that would naturally accompany the lawsuit itself.
“Ryan has always been her rock,” a source close to Lively told People two days after news of Lively's lawsuit against Baldoni broke. 'They have a very special relationship. He is very proud of her in many ways.”
And for what it's worth, the lack of public comment from Reynolds about the lawsuit seems to be consistent with how Lively wants to handle it at the moment; a source for People magazine said that going into the holidays, Lively's goal is to “make Christmas special for the kids. to focus solely on making Christmas special for her children,” and that ”for now, she has said what she needs to say.”
