Jennifer Lawrence's pregnancy style: a Maison Margiela diaper bag and a $6,025 wrap coat

As a woman who values her independence, I've never been attracted to the idea of being responsible for a small human being. Designer handbags, fashion week parties, and late nights sipping espresso martinis. My idea of motherhood is one that encompasses all of these things, like Jennifer Lawrence, for example.

While I can't confirm the NYFW parties and coffee-flavored drinks, I can confidently report that the actor's designer desires have not wavered one bit. In fact, some of her best looks to date have been accessorized with growing baby bumps. A chocolate-colored Bottega Veneta dress, a $33,00 handbag from The Row, and a small archive of Christian Lacroix.

Even on her most casual days, the star prefers luxury. She is particularly fond of a $6,025 Loro Piana wrap coat. Lawrence was spotted wearing this coat on December 17 and again on Saturday, December 21, when she paired the khaki outerwear with black pants and a clementine-orange scarf.

Her luxury orientation extends to the most basic staples of parenting. Instead of a traditional diaper bag, Lawrence packed her mother's essentials in a jumbo Maison Margiela handbag; the $1,390 patchwork style is not strictly for baby wipes and blankets, but its oversized shape and cross-body straps make it perfect for more than that.

Besides the leather bag and neutral coat, Lawrence's look had a few other stylish accessories. She also wore comfortable flat shoes (a recent favorite of hers) and turtle shell sunglasses.

Mother! is truly a mother.
